New Indiana School Grade Scale Moving Forward



The State Board of Education has approved a new 100-point scale to determine schools' A-to-F grades -- but not the formulas to determine how those points are awarded.

Next year's grades will put more emphasis on improvement.

Board members and state school superintendent Glenda Ritz agree they need more time to determine how to measure that, but state law requires the new grade categories to be approved this week.
