Coats Not Impressed with Indiana's Health Exchange Numbers

Indiana Senator Dan Coats is not impressed with the number of Hoosiers who have registered for health insurance plans using Healthcare-dot-gov.

The federal government says 701 Indiana residents chose a health insurance plan through the federally run online exchange during its glitch-plagued first month of operation.

Coats, a Republican, says across the country far more people have lost the health care plans they liked than have enrolled in new plans under Obamacare.

Coats says the numbers are yet another sign that this law is not working for Hoosiers and Americans nationwide.

Coats added he continues to hear from Hoosiers who are losing access the health care policies they like and doctors they trust in exchange for plans with higher premiums and costs.

Coats says the health care law is fatally flawed.

More than 4.2 million Americans have had their health care insurance plans cancelled because of the Affordable Care Act.
