Many Hoosiers Not Prepared for Disaster

A majority of Indiana residents aren't prepared to survive on their own in the aftermath of a tornado, blizzard or other disaster.

That's according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, which surveyed more than 2,500 people and found that more than half didn't have at least three days' worth of food and water on hand for their households should a natural or man-made disaster occur.
