Crash Sends Three to Area Hospitals



Three people were hospitalized this morning following a two-vehicle accident on US 41 at Springhill Drive in Vigo County.

Indiana State Police say 24-year-old James Waugh of Marshall, Illinois was southbound on US 41 and failed to stop for a red light at Springhill Drive.

Waugh’s pick-up hit a car driven by 20-year-old Nancy Nasser-Fortin of Terre Haute.

Waugh was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain.

Nasser-Fortin was taken to Union Hospital of Terre Haute for general pain.

A passenger in her car, 30-year-old William Jarvis of Terre Haute, was airlifted to Methodist Hospital for neck and back pain.

Waugh was cited for disregarding an automatic signal.
