Attorney General Seeking to have Education Lawsuit Tossed
Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller says his office is seeking the dismissal of a lawsuit that Democratic state schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz filed against members of the State Board of Education.
Zoeller says his office must represent Ritz in any lawsuit and he wants to pursue an out-of-court resolution.
Zoeller, a Republican says he won't take sides.
Ritz is suing the board for allegedly violating the Open Door Law by secretly meeting to send a letter to legislative leaders to ask for help in getting a quicker resolution of A-to-F school grades for 2012-2013.
