Jasper Woman Seriously Injured in One-Vehicle Accident
A Jasper woman was seriously injured Thursday night in a one-vehicle accident on State Road 56 west of Ireland in Dubois County.
The Dubois County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Jessica Pelt lost control of her car, which ran off the road, struck a speed limit sign, and rolled into an open field.
Authorities say Pelt had marijuana and meth in her system and had a blood alcohol level of .08%.
Pelt was taken to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville for treatment of a head injury.
She will be charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Driving While Suspended.
