Princeton Man Injured in Police Chase Facing Numerous Charges

A Princeton man injured in an early morning police chase is facing numerous charges.

The Gibson County Sheriff's Office says 20-year-old Jonathan Ashley refused to stop for a sheriff's deputy who caught him speeding in Princeton.

Ashley ran off a county road during the chase, at which time a passenger bailed out of the vehicle.

Ashley continued on and eventually failed to negotiate a turn at County Road 400 South at Old Princeton Road.

Ashley was taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of possible injuries.

Police say he had a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit.

Ashley faces 11 charges including Criminal Recklessness, Driving while intoxicated and a host of traffic violations.
