School Grades have been released by the Indiana Department of Education and the report card is good for the Vincennes Community Schools.
Teachers were told this week that three of the six local public schools received the highest rankings.
Franklin Elementary, Riley Elementary, and Vigo Elementary received grades of "A" and the fourth elementary Tecumseh-Harrison received a letter grade of "B".
Lincoln High School received a "C" grade for the year and Clark Middle School was listed as a "D" school.
Vincennes School officials have appealed the Clark ranking and have asked that I-Step test scores be thrown out due to online testing problems widely blamed on test supplier McGraw-Hill and the State Department of Education.
