Second Suspect in Sullivan County Pot Bust in Custody
Indiana State Police arrested a second person Friday in connection with Wednesday's discovery of marijuana growing near a residence in northeast Sullivan County near the Clay-Sullivan County line.
59-year-old Keith Joseph of rural Jasonville turned himself in at the Sullivan County Jail.
He is facing preliminary charges of Cultivating Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Another man who lives at the residence, 53-year-old Charles Beaver, is facing identical charges.
Police spotted marijuana growing near the residence during a routine flyover Wednesday.
68 marijuana plants, about eight pounds of processed marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were confiscated during the investigation.
The plants ranged from five to seven feet high.
Police estimate the street value of the marijuana at $75,000.
