Quinn Still Committed To Banning Assault Rifles

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn says he's still committed to getting military style assault weapons off the streets.

He points to several crimes in the past week, including a shooting in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood that left 13 people injured.

Quinn says he's considering deploying the National Guard or State Police to help curb crime in the city.

But, he says cracking down on assault weapons and illegal guns will help in a major way when it comes to keeping people safe.
