Hoosiers Invited to Voice Opinions on Public Pension Cuts

State Senator John Waterman is inviting Hoosiers to share their thoughts on the decision to cut Indiana public employee retirement benefits at today's Pension Management Oversight Commission hearing.

The meeting will take place at 10:00 AM in Statehouse Room 431, 200 West Washington Street in Indianapolis.

The Shelburn Republican says the General Assembly tabled the issue in April for further discussion.

He says despite the legislature's concern, the Indiana Public Retirement System used its authority in July to change the employee retirement benefits without consulting the Oversight Commission.
