(Vincennes, IN)-- Vincennes City Police arrested a Vincennes man last night following a traffic stop at Sixth and Hart Streets.
Police halted a red Dodge truck operated by 37 year-old Robert Goodson. Officers stopped Goodson after noticing the truck had an expired license plate. A further check found Goodson driving with a suspended license. He was also found to be driving with a false license plate, and to be driving without insurance.
Goodson was booked into Knox County Jail.
Vincennes University officials dedicated the University's new Art Center this morning at the Center's location on Third Street. The three-point-eight million dollar location will show displays in a 15-thousand, 225 square feet gallery. The art building will have locations for student and faculty works; it will optimize day lighting to full efficiency.
Vincennes University president Richard Helton spoke at this morning's dedication. Dr. Helton praised the new facility as being yet another example of the University's growth to serve its students, faculty, and the Vincennes Community. The dedication speeches were followed by a ribbon cutting, and tours of the facility.
