Traffic Stop Yields Nearly Quarter Pound of Suspected Marijuana



State Police seized nearly a quarter pound of suspected marijuana during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon on Interstate 70 in Putnam County.

The state trooper smelled raw marijuana coming from the car of 22-year-old Darius Gordon of Indianapolis after pulling him over for a broken taillight.

A search of the vehicle turned up about a quarter pound of suspected Marijuana packaged and placed in a trash bag in the trunk.

A passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Trayon Turner of Indianapolis, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana Over 30 Grams and Dealing in Marijuana.

Gordon was cited for Driving While Suspended and Released.
