Carmi, IL Man Sentenced In Campsite Murders

Fifty-three-years in prison is the sentence for a southern Illinois man convicted of shooting two people to death while they were on a camping and fishing trip. 

Thirty-seven-year-old Danny Coston of Carmi was convicted last month of murder and sexual assault in the deaths last year of 22-year-old Jacob Wheeler and 17-year-old Jessica Evans. 

They were attacked while camping along the Little Wabash River.

Coston's girlfriend, Candice Brown, is awaiting trial on related charges.
