Knox Co. Native & Author Discusses New Book

Knox County native and author Dale Glenn discussed his latest book in Vincennes Monday.

"Purcell Station" is about a boy coming of age in a small town that has its own way of doing things, sometimes outside the law.

It's a fictional book based on the Knox County town of Decker in 1952.

More copies of "Purcell Station" will be available soon at area booksellers.
The current printing of the book has sold out.

Glenn was born in Knox County where his family roots go back to the 1880's.

A graduate of Indiana University, he began his career as an English teacher at Speedway High School in Indianapolis, then became assistant principal and basketball coach at Huntingburg High School.

Since then he has served as a middle school principal in Bloomington and as an adjunct professor at Indiana University.

He and his wife, Teresa, live in Bloomington.
