Lt. Governor to Attend Stens Corporation Ribbon Cutting in Dubois County
Indiana Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann will join executives from Stens Corporation this morning for a ribbon cutting ceremony at its expanded headquarters in Jasper.
Stens is a global supplier of replacement parts for the outdoor power equipment industry.
It announced plans in December of 2011 to invest nearly 2.3 million dollars to purchase, renovate and equip a 208-thousand square-foot facility in Jasper, adding up to 98 new jobs by 2015.
Stens, which currently employs around 200 associates in Jasper and 275 across the country, completed its move into the new facility in July.
Since Stens was founded in 1970, it has grown from an operation run out of a one-room Indiana garage to a global company with distribution centers in seven states and four countries.
