No charges will be filed related to the case of a Clay County toddler who died last week of hyperthermia after he was accidentally left in the back of a pickup truck. Due to a change in the family routine, the father was supposed to drop the boy off at daycare, however when his child fell asleep he forgot he was in the car and went straight to work. The boy‘s carseat was on the driver‘s side and concealed by the height of the truck and tinted windows. The father and a co-worker found the boy later and called an ambulance right away. Nationally there are 38 of these types of death a year.
