Tri-State Business Apparent Target of Credit Card Scam
The Tri-State Better Business Bureau is advising businesses to proceed with caution when considering international transactions for the sale of goods.
The BBB says a Tri-State business recently received an offer to purchase $3,800 in merchandise to be shipped to Lithuania.
The purchaser used, which was later discovered, an invalid credit card to make the purchase.
The business was to make arrangements to have the item delivered by a shipper located in San Mateo, California.
However, there was no business at the address.
The business was able to cancel the order before it was shipped.
