Vincennes: Sticker Shock

The City of Vincennes is suffering from sticker shock.

City officials have received a six-page report on trash sticker violators.

The report was submitted to the City by Street and Sanitation Department Superintendent Bryce Anderson.

Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum says the problem with un-stickered trash is widespread.

That means less revenue to run the city's trash pick-up system.

Yochum says reminding residents that all bags of trash must be stickered might help ease the problem.

The City is considering a monthly fee system to end the abuse of the city's sticker system.
Last month, the Vincennes City Council rejected a plan that would have privatized the city's trash system.
