Cummins to Build Diesel Engines for Nissan

For the first time in over a decade, engines will be made once again at the Cummins Engine Plant in Columbus, Indiana.

Company officials along with federal, state and local leaders gathered at the plant Tuesday afternoon to announce that Cummins will build its new 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel engine for Nissan’s next generation Titan pickup.

The V8 program is planning to add to its 300 person workforce over the next several years and at maturity expects to employ 800 workers.
