Grabers Stay Involved in Giving Back to Daviess County

The Lighthouse Recovery Center in Washington recently received a $7,326 grant from the Daviess County Community Foundation’s Glen S. and Mary J. Graber fund.

The grant will provide for general support of the charitable organization that offers a safe place and program for those struggling with addictions or compulsive behaviors.

The Grabers, who own and operate Graber Post Buildings in rural Odon, established a donor-advised fund with the Daviess County Community Foundation in 1998.

The fund is set up so the Grabers act as advisors to the fund and recommend grants to charities they wish to support.

The fund has made a total of 15 grants possible, including the,  Daviess County Handicap Children’s fund, charitable projects at the Bethel Mennonite Church, and facility improvements at the Odon-Winkelpleck Public Library.
