Defense Seeks Change of Venue in Perry Trial

The defense is seeking a change of venue in the murder trial of Jason Perry of Princeton for the murder of his estranged girlfriend back in May.

The Princeton Daily Clarion reports the motion was filed in Gibson Circuit Court Wednesday.

The Clarion reports the motion, which is under review, says pervasive pre-trial publicity has created "inflammatory sentiments" that entitle Perry to a change of venue.

The 31-year-old Perry is charged in the shooting death of Jessica Tice of Princeton in front of the couple's teenage son in the parking lot of a Princeton restaurant.
