The Hendricks County coroner confirmed the remains found in a submerged car Friday afternoon were those of Morgan Johnson. Johnson was reported missing in July 2011. Police used cell phone triangulation to pinpoint a possible location for Johnson. Authorities found his car submerged in a retention pond about a mile away from the extended stay motel Johnson had been staying at the time of his disappearance. The car was found was found with the help a drone boat with sonar. Police say technology had improved since Johnson’s disappearance allowing them to triangulate the last signal on his cell phone. The forensics revealed Johnson was checking voice mail before his phone died -- and that he was within a mile of the pond. But at least 15 ponds were in the area of that last signal, and Plainfield investigators said they searched 13 on Thursday alone.
