Indiana Conservation Officer Rescues Hunting Dog

An Indiana Conservation officer rescued a hunting dog from a 25-foot crevice in Monroe County early Sunday morning.

The dog had been taking part in a field competition when it followed a raccoon into a two-foot wide crevice and became stuck.

Conservation Officer Ryan Jahn, a member of the Indiana Conservation Officers Cave Rescue Team, was lowered into the crevice and was able to free the dog and bring it back to the surface.

The dog, an English Blue Tick, is owned by Steve Bennett from the Columbus area.
