The Gibson County Prosecutor says he expects a delay in the murder trial of 31-year-old Jason Perry of Princeton while Perry undergoes psychiatric exams. Perry is accused of shooting and killing his estranged girlfriend 34-year-old Jessica Tice in the parking lot of a Princeton Restaurant in May. The shooting took place in front of their 13-year-old son. Perry’s attorney has asked a Gibson County judge to appoint doctors to review his mental health at the time of the murder. Prosecutor Robert Krieg tells the Evansville Courier & Press the evaluations will likely push the September 30th trial back by weeks.
