The Vincennes Parks Board has chosen RenoSys Construction of Indianapolis to build the city's new pool at Rainbow Beach.
The firm's base bid was just over 3.3 million dollars and included some of the amenities the other two bids did not: A second slide, more square footage in the pool and splash park, more occupancy, a new maintenance shed and a warranty on the pool liner.
City Parks Superintendent Steve Beamon says the board chose Renosys after contacting municipalities that have worked with the company…
Construction will get underway this summer with completion expected in May of next year.
It's hoped the pool can be open by Memorial Day weekend.
RenoSys Vice President Gary Novitski said it's an aggressive schedule, but they believe they can make it depending on weather and what they find during demolition.
