Hume Appointed To Serve On School Safety Interim Study Committee
State Senator Lindel Hume of Princeton has been appointed to serve on the new School Safety Interim Study Committee, which was established by the 2013 legislative session.
The committee will work to improve safety among the state's schools and develop best practices for school resource officers hired under the provisions of Senate Enrolled Act 1 which was approved this year.
The act provides schools with grant funding to hire officers to assist with school safety and security.
Senator Hume represents Indiana Senate District 48 which includes all or portions of Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Pike, Spencer and Warrick Counties.
