Strong storms battered southwest Indiana Wednesday night.

Heavy rain, flooded streets, downed power lines and trees were common throughout the area.

There are unconfirmed reports that a tornado touched down in Lawrence County, Indiana during yesterday's storm.

The National Weather Service says wind gusts reached near 70-miles-per-hour just west of Bedford.

Reports of funnel clouds came from the Monroe City and Decker areas, but no touchdowns or damage were reported

Duke Energy reported around 27-hundred residences in and around Vincennes lost power due to the storms.

Over three inches of rain fell in many areas prompting several flash flood warnings.
