An employee at a Clay County exotic cat refuge is in serious condition after being attacked by a tiger.
Clay County Chief Deputy Rob Gambill says 21-year-old Marissa Dubb was cleaning the tiger's cage Friday when the tiger attacked after she forgot to close a gate that separates the cage from a holding area.
Gambill says the tiger had the woman's head in its mouth.
He says she was airlifted to Wishard Memorial Hospital and has some cuts and bone fractures, but the injuries are not life-threatening.
He says the U.S. Department of Agriculture will investigate the attack.
