Beware of Giant Hogweed

The DNR is warning Hoosiers about a dangerous plant that can cause blindness and severe skin irritation.

Officials say it's called "giant hogweed," and is normally recognized by the broad leaves at the base, thick stem and white flowers sprouting from the top.

Officials say the plant can grow to be 20-feet tall and the sap is what makes it so dangerous.
