Indiana Attorney General Says Gas Price Complaints Increasing

The Indiana Attorney General’s Office says it’s received 80 complaints so far this month about high gas prices.

That’s up from fifteen complaints a month ago.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Indiana Friday was $4.12.

Indiana has the fourth highest gas prices in the nation behind Hawaii, Michigan and Illinois.

Attorney general's office spokeswoman Erin Reese says the office has determined that gasoline-production delays at seven of the Midwest's ten largest refineries have caused the higher prices.

Reese says it will take time for those refineries to ramp up their production and for regional gas prices to drop.
