Richland County, IL Native Leaves on Disaster Assignment



Olney, Illinois native, Judy McKinney, has been assigned by the American Red Cross to help those affected by the Oklahoma tornadoes.

A volunteer with the Old Northwest Territory Chapter, McKinney is the first volunteer from the Evansville-Wabash Valley Region to be assigned to help in Oklahoma. 

McKinney leaves on Friday for a staging area in Oklahoma City. 

A registered nurse, she will be helping provide health services to those affected by the tornadoes. 

This is her 10th assignment on a national disaster relief operation.
