IL: Gambling Expansion Still Alive In Springfield



A gambling expansion bill has new life in the final days of Illinois' legislative session. 

A key House committee has approved a bill that calls for five new casinos and dozens of new slot machine positions. 

The bill's sponsor, State Representative Robert Rita says details on tax rates are being worked out, as is language covering oversight of a Chicago casino. 

Governor Pat Quinn has vetoed two previous bills to expand gaming in Illinois.
