Alex Knepp, President of the Foundation's Board of Trustees who also serves as a mentor of Council members, says the efforts of the youth to build funds held by the community foundation have made the grant awards possible.
This year's grant recipients are the Barr Reeve Library for the Read Electronically e-book collection; the Bethel Mall for the Shop Till Ya Drop project; Junior Achievement for retention and expansion of programs in Daviess County; Lena Dunn Elementary School for The Pledge program; Power House for a recycle bike shop; and the RSVP program for the Pen Pal project.
