FBI Agents Fatally Shoot Bank Robbery Suspect

FBI agents who had a central Indiana bank under surveillance fatally shot a man shortly after he and two other people allegedly held up the bank.

Plainfield Police say agents from the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force had the Plainfield branch of the State Bank of Lizton under surveillance at the time of Friday morning's robbery.

Lees tells The Indianapolis Star the federal agents exchanged gunfire with two men and a woman shortly after the robbery.

Police have not released the name of the man who was fatally shot.

The FBI says the other man and the woman fled after the shooting, but were caught by federal and local authorities after a brief manhunt.
