ISTEP+ Update

After being disrupted by two days of computer glitches, Indiana’s ISTEP+ plus exam was given Wednesday with minimal interruptions.

Over 300,000 testing sessions were completed statewide Wednesday.

The Indiana Department of Education says that based on assurances by CTB/McGraw Hill, the test’s vendor, ISTEP+ testing will continue Thursday.

In order to minimize interruptions to students, the Department has again asked schools to reduce their daily testing load by about 50%.

State School Superintendent Glenda Ritz says schools will have an extra five days to complete ISTEP testing, in the wake of computer crashes
