Wabash Flood Waters Receding

The Wabash River at Vincennes is falling after cresting Saturday afternoon at 27.7 feet.

That's the third highest level on record and the highest level for the modern levee system.

The river stood at 26.8 feet shortly before Noon Monday.

The river is expected to fall to its 16 foot flood stage by May 7th.
