Federal officials have arrested 12 people connected to two methamphetamine trafficking operations from California and Arizona into the Evansville-area. The drug trafficking allegedly involved the use of local drug couriers who would transport large quantities of methamphetamine across the country using personal and rental vehicles. Authorities confiscated 26 pounds of refined crystal meth, with an estimated street value of 1.2 million dollars. 8 of the suspects are from Evansville while three others are from Posey County. One is from California.
