Nonprofit agencies spread throughout nine counties in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky are receiving grants from Toyota Indiana this month.Most of the grants were awarded to youth and education programs which Toyota says is its top priority.
Others will support civic organizations, such as The Salvation Army, in Henderson, Ky.
Toyota’s grants are given to nonprofit organizations in the counties where the majority of its 4,500 team members reside.
Counties represented this quarter were Edwards and Wabash Counties in Illinois, Henderson County in Kentucky and Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Pike, Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties in Indiana.
Grant recipients include Pike Central Middle School and Vincennes Community Schools
There are four recipients in Gibson County: Fort Branch Community Schools; Lyles Station Historic Preservation Corporation; Oakland City Columbia Township Public Library; and St. James Catholic School.
