Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson will hold meetings in Jasper and Evansville Tuesday for southwest Indiana county election officials concerning the creation of regional vote centers.

The meetings are designed to help local officials determine if the vote center model, an alternative to traditional precinct elections, is something their county should consider.

Lawson will highlight how the vote center model can reduce the costs of elections for counties, while providing voters with the convenience of choosing where they vote.
