An Evansville man has been arrested for a second time for a crime committed against a woman he allegedly battered and confined on March 15th.

44-year old John Thomas Wells is in custody for violating a court order that prohibited him from contact the victim.

Wells was originally arrested on several felony counts on Friday after he allegedly held Whitney Archer against her will inside his apartment.

He allegedly beat and choked her, cut her hair and poured barbecue sauce and Listerine on her.
