A Jasper police officer has stepped down after becoming the subject of an investigation.

Dave Drew has been investigated by the Jasper Police Department and Indiana State Police since February. 

Jasper Police Chief Michael Bennett recommended that the Jasper Board of Public Works fire Drew after an internal investigation.

A meeting on Drew's future had been scheduled for Friday.

Drew submitted his resignation Thursday.

The allegations against Drew have not been disclosed.
