Military and education in Indiana will take big hits if mandatory sequestration cuts take effect on Friday. The White House says about eleven-thousand civilians employed by the Department of Defense would be furloughed, and approximately 13-point-eight-million-dollars in funding for primary and secondary education would be lost.
Programs that support law enforcement and crime prevention, child care for low income families, and meal assistance for the elderly would also be affected
