A Peru, Indiana woman is facing two preliminary counts of trafficking cell phones at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Carlisle.

26-year-old Sheyanne Johnson was arrested Sunday afternoon after correctional staff saw her place an object wrapped in tape into a sandwich she passed along to inmate Roger Jaske.

Two cell phone watch inserts and a cell phone SIMS card were confiscated.

Johnson is being held under $30,000 bond in the Sullivan County Jail.

Jaske is serving a life term on a Saint Joseph County murder conviction along with two Madison County convictions for Voluntary Manslaughter and Escape. 

Jaske has been placed in segregation pending the outcome of the investigation.
