Habitat for Humanity of Clay County will host a Jonah Fish Fry and Silent Auction on April 13 from 4-7PM at the Brazil National Guard Armory. The community is welcome to attend. Tickets will be $8 at the door for adults, $5 for children ages 5-10, and free for children 5 and under. You can save $1 per ticket by purchasing them in advance either from members of the Board of Directors for Clay County Habitat for Humanity, or from Terre Haute Savings Bank before April 13.
Adult dinners will include three pieces of fish, two side dishes, and bread. Side dishes include tossed salad, apple sauce or cole slaw, home made green beans, or baked beans. Extra fish will cost $2 per piece.
The silent auction will include various items donated by local businesses. Auction tables will be set up so that bids can be placed by leaving a name and a phone number. The highest bidder will be called folloing the event to arrange delivery and payment of items won.
Habitat was awarded a matching grant of up to $2500 from the Wabash Valley Community Foundation for the fundraiser, and all proceeds will be used to build a home with a Clay County partner family.
