The Indiana Department of Transportation says Carter Road in western Monroe County near the Greene County line will be closed permanently today or sometime after today.

Carter Road will be closed as part of the Interstate 69 construction project.

The road will be closed about 250-feet east of the Greene/Monroe County Line and just west of Breeden Road.

Residents living to the east of the proposed closure will be able to access State Road 45 on Breeden and/or Burch Roads.
