Hume Bill to Allow More Funding For School Services

The Indiana Senate voted Tuesday to approve a bill sponsored by State Senator Lindel Hume of Princeton allowing school corporations to pay for certain contracted services through their Capital Projects Funds.

Hume says by giving schools that flexibility, resources can be freed from their General Funds to go toward education.

Hume says schools can also use capital funds to pay for school security services.

It now moves to the Indiana house for review.
