The search continues for a missing Sullivan County man who hasn’t been seen or heard from since last Friday.

37-year-old Shane Porter of Dugger failed to show up for work in Vincennes or contact any of his his friends.

On Friday evening, Vincennes Police received a report that a man was swimming in the Wabash River just south of the George Rogers Clark Memorial.

The man was never found.

Later, authorities say they found Porter’s vehicle parked in an area near the Wabash River.

Conservation Officers have been searching the Wabash River on a daily basis.

DNR officers have yet to find the reported swimmer or know for sure if the man in the water was Shane Porter.
