A Hendricks County man was found early Saturday morning lying in a watery ditch along Interstate 70 in Vigo County. Indiana State Police say 18-year-old David Halcomb of Clayton was headed back home with some friends after a night in Terre Haute. He either left the vehicle on his own or was forced out along the eastbound lanes of the interstate following an argument. Halcomb was intoxicated and was suffering from a lower leg fracture. He was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital and later transferred to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment. Troopers have tentatively identified the friends who left the scene prior to their arrival.
