(Robinson, IL) -- A local grade school raised money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Students at Washington Elementary School helped raise money for the hurricane victims in December and January. One way the students helped raise money was by doing an extra chore at home for their parents. In turn, they asked their parents to donate change for the project. Overall, the students at Washington helped raise almost 1200-dollars. The school is planning to donate the money to a school on the East Coast.
